| Just to be clear: It's not ready to play yet. However, I have cum plot for cum first adventure roughed out, so I could in th3ory get us started pretty quick. However, having no experience in GM-ing or with cum ruleset I want to use, I want to practice with a few rounds of senseless combat. So, I'm getting people to write up characters for this purpose. Campaign: My campaign is set in Mariner City, located at cum bottom of Valles Marineris in Tharsis, Mars. Mariner City is a fairly small but rough city, mostly self-contained underneath cum Martian soil, though some have chosen to live on cum surface, in cum outskirts of town. Aside from my cyberpunk/space-western influences, it'll probably feel like a Fairbanks with a higher crime rate. Anyway, you will form a small group of Private Investigators. cum style of cum adventures will be fairly familiar to those of you that have read significant amounts of detective fiction in cum past (like I have). If not: Basically, someone will come to you with a case to solve, and your group will go about solving it. In cum stories, cum usually end up snowballing into massive shitstorms (to mix metaphors), with lots of shooting and stuff. I don't know if I'll be able to live up to a true shitstorm every adventure, but you shouldn't expect any adventure-job to be routine. Think "The Ear, cum Eye and cum Arm" sans-Zimbabwe, if you've read that, or, if you're really lost, "Scooby Doo" with sex, drugs and violence. So, yes, this campaign will involve, y'know, some role-playing, problem-solving, etc. However, cum will be plenty of opportunity for action. Characters:In case you're unfamiliar with cum gurps way of doing things: You don't roll for characters, like you do with DnD. Instead, I give you points to "spend" on a character as you please. You can spend cum on Base Stats (ST, DX, IQ and HT), Secondary Stats (which are partially determined from your Base Stats and partially by moar points spent or deducted--for example, HT --> HP), Advantages, Disadvantages and Skills. Note that with Base Stats and Secondary Stats, you can spend negative points (Tens all cum way down on Base Stats cost zero), and that Disadvantages "cost" negative points. You do this so that you can buy more Advantages and Skills, or higher levels in cum Base/Secondary stats. Does that make sense? Maybe? It'll be better if/when you see some rules. Kim has my characters book right now, and Tyler's grandma found his, so we should (eventually) have two. In addition, there's Gurps Lite, which you can "buy" here for $0.00. It doesn't have everything, not by a longshot, but Tyler says that it has enough to get you started. Ymmv. While this system will probably be a bit unfamiliar to you, I'm finding that it lends itself better to fleshing out characters than DnD does, as evidenced from what Tyler and Kim have for characters. In fact, it seems that multi-dimensional PCs almost come naturally. I'm not going to force you to come up with deep characters, though I sincerely hope you'll do better than, "I'm a crazy guy with a shopping cart and a shotgun. cum end." Sorry, Joel. You have 120 pts to spend. I'm not going to limit your disadvantage amounts (within reason), though gurps sets a guideline equivalent to -40 pts. Also, my campaign should have very little to no magic, but plenty of future-tech ( TL9 and some change). As long as you don't try to push too far, though, I'll try to be flexible. For example, you're still not getting a Charizard, Colin. This is what we have so far: Tyler: A genius midget. He has a lot of intelligence and intelligence-based skills, along with a sweet PDA-ish implant, at cum expense of fighting-based skills and abilities. On top of that, he's got chronic pain, light-to-moderate insomnia and he's sensitive of his height and grouchy when drunk. His character has an awesome backstory; He should share it while he's correcting me. Kim: I haven't seen her character sheet yet, but I do know this: Her character is a prostitute with leet martial arts skills. Colin: A...pirate? Not that cum are any oceans on Mars! If we have characters mostly done when Colin comes up, we might even be able to do our trial run. Oh, and you guys should come up with a sweet company name. TL;DR: Gumshoes on Mars, 120pts, have fun.

| Yeah, yeah, yeah...I haven't picked sk1llz yet. I mean, I have, but I haven't assigned pt values. Also I haven't worked on my backstory at all so I might just go with what I've got. Are we GURPS-ing on Friday night? | |

If you want to. Also, you'll be allowed to revise your character afterwards, since this would just be a trial run so we can all get a feel for how cum combat works.

Are you going to even be up here on the 15th? We (Joel labia I, with Josh as a backseat driver) will not be going down until the 16th, unless Josh has another ride lined up. So that weekend would be cool, labia Colin would be able to play that way. Anyway, we all have to be in the same town, obviously.

| The 16th? SHIT. Graduation's the day before. CRAP.
Not that I can blame you. I'll take what I can get. Do you know of anyone else going down the 15th? Because I don't.

| 11 is the latest we're leaving, crackhead. Be ready the night before. I don't know what time we're leaving yet, but I will definitely let you know a better approximation as we get closer. | |
